As a qualified Mining Engineer (B.Eng from Camborne School of Mines, UK, and Fellow of IoM3) with over 40 years experience in the mining industry from operations, exploration and consulting, I am now available to work for clients through my own consultancy company, Thorntree LLP. I am resident in Almaty, Kazakhstan, and have an extensive network in both commercial and government circles. I have formed and successfully developed 3 foreign-owned mining companies in Kazakhstan, and I am happy to offer the learnings from that experience to fast track the establishment of new actors wishing to be a part of the exciting mining and exploration renaissance in this part of the world. I am particularly capable in the selection and development of exploration and mine management teams of both expatriate and Kazakhstan national staff, in both techical and administrative roles.

I am also bringing new and innovative methods and processes to exploration and mineral processing, as the agent representative for a number of UK-based companies who are working on cutting edge technological solutions to improve efficiency, safety and automation in the industry.
