Graduated from University College London (UCL) with a degree in Economics and Business. Said has 16 years of experience in the mining industry.

In 2006, he began working in Toronto, Canada at the consulting firm BWI First Intelligence, specializing in M&A transactions in the mining industry.

In 2008, he was appointed regional director of the Canadian junior company Stans Energy Corp with rare earth assets in Central Asia. As part of the executive team, he was responsible for RTO on the TSX-V and acquisitions of assets in Central Asia.

In 2014, he was appointed general director of Kazgeotech, a joint project of Kazgeology and the Canadian airborne geophysical company Geotech Ltd.

On December 1, 2015 he founded the Aurora Minerals Group

In 2023 he joined the board of directors of the Kazakhstan Chamber of Mines
