Nikolai Yenshin is a General Manager for Laurus Capital Management.
Before taking this role Nikolai worked for Polyus as a Regional Manager and Head of Central projects for KAZ Minerals. Nikolai spent 10 years working for a large global international mining consultancy. Nikolai worked at mining operations in Russia and Kazakhstan. He specialises in strategic planning and the evaluation of mines, mine performance improvement management, and underground mine design, as well as the implementation of new technology. Nikolai has worked on such minerals as zinc, lead, copper, tin, gold, uranium, bauxite and other. Nikolai has taken part in projects ranging from geological exploration to Scoping, Pre-Feasibility and Feasibility Studies, as well as project commissioning stage and Due Diligence. He was a Project Manager on several uranium projects of various levels in Russia and Kazakhstan. Nikolai was key initiator and organiser of the Kazakhstan Mining Club since 2011. Since 2014, he is actively involved in the development of the Kazakh Code of Public Reporting on Mineral Resources and Reserves (KAZRC) based on CRIRSCO Committee standards. He has initiated the Professional Union of the Independent Subsoil Experts of Kazakhstan (PONEN). Nikolai represents Kazakhstan in CRIRSCO committee. In 2016-2017, Nikolai chaired the technical committee of MINEX Central Asia conference.
