James has nearly 15 years experience of greenfields and brownfields exploration across copper porphyry and sediment-hosted copper deposits. Having started out working for junior exploration companies in South American and Europe he joined First Quantum in 2014. Whilst with First Quantum he has worked in Zambia, Chile and Argentina exploring some of the world's premier mineralised basins and arcs. Since 2023 James has been setting up First Quantum's exploration activities in Kazakhstan.
